Places such as shopping malls, department stores, banks, retail centres and supermarkets have an ever-present risk of crime. Our security officers working in these areas receive special training as the skills required go beyond the prevention and detection of crime. These security officers are in a public facing role that requires them to interact and react to provide assistance.
Our security officers are trained to always remain alert and respond. This includes dealing with criminal behaviour, public disturbances, health, and safety issues (including Covid-19 protection), customer and staff safety, and helping in the case of an emergency. All our officers are trained to NVQ Level 2 in customer service and are first aid and fire trained to help in a crisis.
The training our officers undergo meets SIA requirements and beyond, we include onsite specific training to comply with our client’s individual needs. This ensures that our officers can provide intelligent crime risk assessment and prevention methods that best suit their location and client’s objectives and standards.
Security officers represent our clients and we are mindful of how their appearance and actions reflect on the organisation that they are working for. We understand that it is important for our front-end officers to look the part and know how to respond to different situations. Our officers can deal with the public in a helpful and sensitive manner, but with the appropriate firmness when required. They can manage confrontation and difficult members of the public, whilst being sensitive to people with physical or learning difficulties
